FEATURES OF Gas safety Device (GSD)
GSD will automatically shut-off the gas supply from the cylinder.
FEATURES OF GSD
GSD will automatically shut-off the gas supply from the cylinder due to major leakages of gas caused due to:
a) The rupturing of a tube or pulling off the stove or regulator.
b) The regulator failed to function properly.
c) The tube catching fire.
GSD will not shut off if:
a) A minor leakage occurs (in this case, it refers to instructions covered under the heading - 'How to test for minor leaks').
b) The controls of an appliance (gas stove) in unlit condition is / are left in ON position.
c) There is insufficient flow through the spot where the leakage is occurring.
d) Supply line is too small.
e) The gas system is mounted or placed near a corrosive area or an area which is subjected to vibration. In most of the cases where hose rapture occurs and if there is insufficient flow due to blockage / restriction, or the supply line diameter (internal diameter), is too small GSD may not be activated. Automatic shut off may occur if gas consumption is excessive at low cylinder pressure. However, if shut off continually occurs it is advisable to have the system safely checked immediately by an authorized gas fitter. Do not use the system until the problem has
been rectified. In such a situation it is also possible that cylinder may need refilling. Shut-off is indicated by the GSD when the dial needle suddenly returns to zero. If shut off occurs, the gas stove controls may be turned to OFF position and procedure for 'How to test for minor
Leaks' should be repeated. If continuous shut-off occurs, the LPG system would need to be rectified by an Authorized Gas fitter. At extreme low temperature and severe winter conditions GSD will shut off gas supply and may not function properly.
HOW TO TEST FOR MINOR LEAKS
1. Keep the GSD knob in on condition and ensure that the burners of the gas stove are in off condition. The gauge dial needle will show pressure indication
2. Turn off the GSD knob and wait for few minutes, if the needle of gauge dial drops down slowly to zero level, this indicates that there is leakage in the line between the pressure regulator and the gas stove.
3. If the needle remains at the same position there is no leakage in the system.
4. The above pressure can be repeated for more confirmation.
WARRANTY & SERVICE
Thank you for purchasing GSD. Your limited 3 years warranty period commences (as per the terms and conditions mentioned) from the day you have purchased our product. To avail the above said warranties please retain your Bill from the Authorized Stamp on it. The limited Warranty will be void without proper proof of purchase.
Guarantees in the event of any GSD components proving defective (other than through misuse or non-compliances with the instructions, procedures, features and cautions as mentioned in this booklet) in the first 36 months we will, subject to the LIMITATION OF LIABILITY of this warranty, replace the GSD free of charge.
LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY
and its authorized affiliates and distributors are excluded from all liability for any loss or damage arising from the use or misuse of the GSD (caused due to breakage, mishandling or otherwise) and for any special indirect or consequential loss or damage arising out of such use or misuse of any failure in its performance or any defect of the GSD or for any other loss or damage. Whether expressed or implied under any contact with purchaser of the device or in any other way save for its liability for the replacement or refund of GSD in terms and subject to
conditions of the Warranty mentioned herein. The purchaser shall procure the endorsement of the instructions, procedures features and cautions mentioned here in (Conditions) before allowing installation of the GSD by third person. The performance of the functions of the GSD including its feature, as indicated herein will be adversely affected in case of Non performances of the GSD in terms of the features maintained herein. The condition can be discussed with us, in writing to obtain their recommendations.
